    September 29, 2023: In response to the Magistrate Judge’s order for Castro to show cause in his lawsuit to have Trump disqualified, John Anthony fires back with a response that says the Magistrate either must “research the law or recuse himself for being intellectually deficient.”

    September 27, 2023: John Anthony drops his lawsuit

  • ARIZONA UPDATE

    Case No. 2:23cv01865 (Castro v. Fontes et al) - U.S. District Court for the District of Arizona

    September 27, 2023: John Anthony filed a motion to move the hearing scheduled for October 31 back one week due to “immovable scheduling conflicts.”

    September 27, 2023: Trump attorney Timothy La Sota objected to the motion, and provided an email Castro privately sent him stating the nature of his “immovable scheduling conflict” was that he wanted to celebrate Halloween.

    September 28, 2023: In an electronically filed order, the court changed the October 31 hearing from in-person to telephonic, so that John Anthony could try to have Donald Trump disqualified for running for President of the United States in the morning and go trick-or-treating in the evening.

  • WEST VIRGINIA UPDATE

    Case No. 4:23-cv-00556 (Castro v. Warner et al.), U.S. District Court for the Southern District of West Virginia

    September 28, 2023: The court grants the motion of the West Virginia Republican Party to intervene in the case.

    Thereafter, a platoon of six lawyers from the American Center for Law and Justice parachutes into the case, filing visiting attorney paperwork to represent the West Virginia Republican Party.

    September 28, 2023: John Anthony objects to the intervention of the WVGOP: “This is nothing more than a corrupt attempt to allow others to foot Defendant Donald John Trump’s mounting legal bills.” After filing his objection on the docket, he then files a second objection on Twitter:

  • MONTANA UPDATE

    Case No. 6:23cv00062 (Castro v. Jacobsen, et al), U.S. District Court for the District of Montana

    The (interlocutory) appeals begin!

    September 20, 2023: After the judge in the Montana case denied John Anthony’s motion for a Temporary Restraining Order to prevent Montana from registering Trump as a candidate in Big Sky Country, John Anthony announced he was immediately appealing to the “Nonth Circuit” [sic].

  • SOUTH CAROLINA UPDATE

    Case No. 3:23cv04501 (Castro v. South Carolina Elections Commission), U.S. District Court for the District of South Carolina).

    September 27, 2023: The Magistrate Judge issues a report recommending the court deny John Anthony’s motion for a Temporary Restraining Order to prevent South Carolina from registering Trump as a candidate.

  • TRUMP HARASSMENT LAWSUIT UPDATE

    Case No. 4:23cv00556 (Castro v. Trump et al.) - U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Texas

    This is one of John Anthony’s non election-related lawsuits against Trump. It involves his allegation that Donald Trump personally ordered the IRS to subpoena his grad school transcript to gaslight him.

    September 28, 2023: Trump attorney Whitney Davis filed a motion to dismiss. In her motion, she states Castro failed to properly serve Trump. She also stated that, because Castro’s allegations occurred when Trump was president, presidential immunity applies and the court has no personal jurisdiction over Trump.
